Job Title: GOTV Field Director
Location: Erie County, PA (In-person required)
Start Date: No earlier than September 9th, 2025
Hours: Full-time, including evenings and weekends
Salary: Competitive, commensurate with experience

Position Summary

The GOTV Field Director will be responsible for designing and executing the campaign’s direct voter contact program for the general election in the Fall of 2025. This includes volunteer recruitment and management, canvassing, phone and texting operations, vote-by-mail education and expansion, and Get-Out-The-Vote (GOTV) planning and execution. The ideal candidate is highly organized and committed to empowering people through local organizing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a countywide field plan with weekly voter contact goals for the GOTV period (September-November 4th)

  • Recruit, train, and manage volunteers and regional team leads.

  • Launch and manage a Vote By Mail (VBM) acquisition and chase program to drive early vote participation

  • Track and report voter contact metrics through VAN/Votebuilder and campaign dashboards

  • Build relationships with local committees, labor unions, and community partners

  • Lead field operations for canvasses, phone banks, events, and relational organizing

  • Design and implement a comprehensive GOTV strategy in the final weeks of the campaign

Qualifications

  • At least 2 campaign cycles of experience, including in a leadership role (preferred)

  • Familiarity with Votebuilder/VAN, Mobilize USA, and field reporting tools

  • Ability to manage volunteers and meet organizing goals

  • Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills

  • Ability to work 40+ hours/week as needed, including evenings and weekends

  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel throughout Erie County
